I was looking to take some friends out shooting and get them introduced to the sport, but my local range doesn't allow me to have vistors because I am new to this club.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any open land outside of London, Ontario that would be good for shooting, for private land I will clean up after myself, as well as buy you a nice bottle of what ever you drink :D
As well if someone knew the laws on shooting on public land out in the middle of no where.

I am just trying to get some friends out in this nice weather.

"...land outside of London..." Is all farm land with a building every 200 yards. You can't swing a cat without something being in the way.
"...the laws on shooting on public land..." There is no such thing as "the middle of nowhere" in Southern Ontario. Anyway, the law is one thing, MNR policy is another. However, you can shoot on Crown Land as long as it's not in a municipality with firearms discharge restrictions and you are shooting safely.
Remember that Crown Land is also used by hikers, picnickers and other assorted riff-raff. You must know exactly what is behind your back stop out to several miles. Including any access points to said land behind your back stop.
Most our area has calibre restrictions too. Nothing greater than .270 by the cartridge name, not the bullet diameter. So a .270 Win is ok, but a .276 Petersen is not. You won't find one of those anyway, but you get the idea.
Plus, the MNR thinks that the only reason to have a firearm in the bush is for hunting. And they think you're hunting deer, for example, if you have a cartridge suitable for deer. Having targets with you will make this idiocy go away, but 'plinking' is out.

You gotta drive quite a ways to get into some crown land free of others, and farm land will likely not fly as not too many farmers I know would let such things happen on their property. Hunting is one thing but what your after is best kept to a range.

If you are just shooting non restricted there has to be a place that will let you in on a day pass as a guest with a friend.

Silverdale down this way does anyways....
