Open Letter to Ducks Unlimited

I am not a member of their organization. But I did support them through their fundraising events. They were a fun gathering of like-minded individuals who enjoy hunting, shooting, fishing and the outdoors. I believe when the liberal truth kicks in and the gun ban starts a lot of people who thought that won’t affect me will be up in arms but once again it will be too late! I won’t be attending any more of their functions and I will be encouraging all of my friends and people that I talk to to do the same! I have already forwarded links to the petition and many snapshots of the good comments on these threads to all of my phone contacts so I’m trying to do my part to get the word out! I don’t believe I need to waste my time calling ducks Unlimited because they have proven they don’t care!

He bought the media will $600 million of our dollars, tried to shut down Rebel News for exposing all his treasonous activities, now wants media to have licenses which means if you're organization is not a liberal boot licker you would be banished to the dark corners of the internet as an Alt-Right Hate Group. Why wouldn't he try to buy out the pro-gun lobby groups also? He is trying to get all the municipalities on board also, wonder how many Mayors will get a free vacation to the Bahamas this year?

Regardless of what the heritage is with duck hunters, anglers, and the involvement of DUC, its appalling to see all these comments about people trying to get their clubs and even themselves to stop supporting them. Everyone going to stop visiting national and provincial parks too while were at it? Maybe boycott local campgrounds and conservation centers too?

Dont stop supporting a good cause because they choose to rightfully keep out of something that has ZERO to do with them and their cause.

If that were the case, why do they have a person on the Liberals firearms advisory board as an 'expert'? The person cannot be an expert if they're just being a planted Fudd on that board. This is a completely contradictory claim and they have to bear the consequences of it. Why is a wetlands conservation person on a gun advisory board if they don't claim to be a gun expert?

I wonder if it has dawned on them that the anti-democratic Liberals will be coming for their "automatic shotguns...that shoot hundreds of projectiles all at once!" and "sniper rifles...that can kill from over a kilometer away!" as well as our AR-15's and scary, scary semi-autos...?
 
Thanks to carbon pricing, large portions of their funding comes from grants with oil and gas companies as a way to purchase carbon offsets, Ducks Unlimited has long lost it's connection to it's hunters roots.

When things get rocky you find out who your friends are and who your friends aren't.

Ducks Unlimited is not a friend, remember that the next time they ask for donations or memberships.

DU should not get involved in a political football game nor should they share a membership list. They must respect the privacy of there members. Now if you want them to privately share your petition information with their members that is up to them to decide. They raise money for habitat protection from all walks of the public not just us that like to kill things with their guns so I commend them on remaining neutral. Too bad all the money from gun and ammo sales into Canada that US companies have to collect and pay into their government conservation funds goes to US habitat and gun promoting programs. That's what we get for dismantling our ammunition and firearms industry at their request.
 
Somebody make a Meme where a glowing Hiroshima is ducks unlimited, and every other world power looking on is all of the other orgs and businesses that shooters support directly or indirectly.

This isn’t about DU anymore. Their ship sailed. This is about causing every other org out there to go “oh sh*t!” and get off their asses.
 
Matthew your post is confusing and lacks punctuation to get your point across. What is your first sentence stating? If you choose to trash an organization that raises millions upon millions of dollars so your customers will have something and somewhere to shoot the products you sell........ You should rethink your business model because I for one would recommend buying products from a retailer who doesn't shoot us in the foot to make a buck. Yes, I support responsible gun ownership and take this PROPOSED LOOK AT THE legislation seriously but I refuse to trash habitat preservation for you to make a buck. Please take the high road out of your valley and have some class and think of the collateral damage you are causing.
 
I suspect the 2018 Federal Budget announcement of $1.3 billion in funding was the start of the DUC dissociation from hunting and firearms. You'll notice there is now little to no camo gear available for purchase on their site. That the former president and current member of the board still sits on the Canadian Firearm Advisory Committee reeks of conflict of interest, just as it does when looking at some of the other members.
