Open minded Glock question

Okay, so for YEARS I have been on the "Glock: The world's finest hand grenades" band wagon. (I happily shoot 50 year old ammunition out of 100 year old Enfields, but have been nervous about Glocks, as a G17 with factory ammo is the ONLY firearm I have ever personally witnessed KB[!]... This is after 24 years of private, military, and police shooting.)

I must admit, however, that they must have SOMETHING going for them, besides great marketing, to be so darned popular and reliable. Am willing to let the pistol speak for itself.

That said, I wondered if there was anybody in the Lower Mainland, preferably a member at PCDHFC, who would be willing to let me test drive their Model 21? I will bring my own factory Winchester hardball. Have RUC, so side range is fine with me if it works for you.

You are welcome to try out my P220, as a trade off - Great pistol, but I grow weary of the TDA with decocker.

I would sir but I'm going out of town tomorrow for the duration of the holidays. I will shoot you a PM when I get back and if you haven't had anyone else offer we'll set something up. I prefer the warmth of DVC to chilly Burke Mt and I'm not RUC'd FWIW. I'm easy though, PoCo is fine with me.

Mine is a Gen 2 with a LWD barrel, so if you are thinking of buying current production yourself, you might want to find someone with a stock Gen 3 to get a feel for the grooves and Glock barrel (not that I can see any difference with the LWD barrel because I suck.:D)

I don't think kBs are an issue with the G21. I've never heard of one, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Mr. Spectacular is right, they are fine pistols if they fit and the grip angle works for you. I love mine and would never part with it.

I can do that to just about any gun if you want to provide it....
Bad ammo will do that any time...

What is your "gun of choice" wanna send me one...

Or would you like me send you something for you to feed it...

You wanna bash something... At least have a good reason for it... I own colts, norinco's, smiths, rugers, glocks, hk's.. They all have their pros and cons... Something like what you posted above is just narrow minded and has little to do with the topic at hand.

And here we go with an other anti-Glock post by Wolfstrack. Of course every guns will ''explode'' if used with improper ammo's (read squib load or double charge) Very interesting read that you can have here, please take a minute to understand the physic involved in those failures:

Just bumping to the top, as Max Power (Thank you, Sir!) apparently is the only Glock 21 owner in the Lower Mainland who is willing to put their pistol up against my Sig(!).

;)

Seriously, if anyone else has some time, please drop me a line. I am willing to see if the 21 feels right, if you'd like to test a Sig P220.
