I had a unneeded LEE .452 sizer die and stem so I asked a buddy to open it up to .461 for my Marlin 45-70. Works dandy on the 405gr RCBS GC bullet. If you had to pay a machinist I guess this would not be cost effective but helps if you know someone.

I'll be on the lookout for a 9mm sizing die to open up to .381 for my 38-55's Have the .452 ram so it can be turned down.

Also PC'd some 93gr 7.62x25 cast . Use them in my pistol and in .30 caliber rifles for small game.

Heading that way myself, looking to size for .379 grooves, possibly with pc'ed bullets if this experiment gets off the ground
may try a V drill bit which is .377, so options for sizers to work from is larger

If you have time you can do it with a dowel and some emery cloth
That'd be tough to do and keep perfectly round. The die body really needs to be spun on a lathe and the polishing dowel held steady to keep the work even. But then if you have access to a lathe, there are better, more accurate tools. 🤷‍♂️

I had a sizer opened up to do soft cast lead 12 gauge slugs. From what ever the largest sized die lee had. Need just a bit of material removed as the greener gp I had was a very tight choked barrel. Anyways a very competent machinist did the work. The bill would have justified a custom die or casting mold I think. The material Lee uses is super hard and difficult to open up.
