Opening 7.62 milsurp ammo metal crate?!

Hey there,

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place but I just bought a crate of 7.62 milsurp ammo and the last time I bought a case, all the ammo was in bags. This time, there is a giant metal box inside the crate and I can't figure out how to open it

Put your finger in the ring and pull. If this fails to work, get a gym membership.

I've heard of guys using prybars or long screwdrivers in the rings for leverage.. Girly-Men, the lot of them.

put a bar or pipe through the metal rings for a handle and pull like h3ll. it peels the solder off to get the lid off. If that dont dont work then get out the cutting torch jk

Thanks a lot. I did a combination of hammering the solder with a flathead and pulling. Finally got it open.

I use a long screwdriver with the crate on the ground and my foot holding the crate down. also i look at the solder/ rings to determine the topmost one to pull first. i also wear gloves so i don't cut my fingers off on the lid.

Or if you're the bring safety minded type, you might Spam Can it with vise grips. I just used the Vise grips and yanked, but I have the arms of a very big scary space mutant.

Put a foot on the crate and grab a ring and pull it. Take me 30 sec to open a crate only by hand.

Easiest way I found was to use vice grip's or needle nose plyer's and turn it like a sardine can.
