Opening a bolt face

Could a regular zastava magnum bolt face be safely opened enough to accept a 460wby mag sized rim?

Id like to rebarrel one to a 500 belted mag which is a shortened 460wby case

Yes it can. I have one. Plenty of metal opposite the extractor. There is a pic of the weatherby case sitting in the bolt face in my "big bore build" thread in hunting arms.

You can run a 91.5mm oal without having to remove any metal from the receiver.

Evan, didn't you use to propel pellets with shotgun primers? And then shoot 300gr .303's from your own molds? What's your next project ?
