Opening day for pheasant

My buddy his friend and I went out for pheasant on the first and second and I only took 1 photo all day for some reason. The two dogs on the outside are 13 and 12 years old with the big guy Bug in the middle I took this picture at about 10 and we had 3 limits by noon along with 3 bonus Huns. Its probably Chip's last year and he got the first point and retrieve of the season.

Now that's a good day! Tried releasing pheasant/turkey here, all we did was feed the wolves, coyotes, bald eagles, ravens, etc.

Raised in SE AB opening day no boy over 12 was in school. Day after most were sporting a feather in their cap. Thanks for posting, brings back memories.

I certainly miss hunting Pheasant with my Dad , we always had
a couple birds for Thnkz give dinner . It's been too long ago............

13 and 12 wow bet they have seen plenty of roosters tricks over the years.

I hope to get out in the middle of this week and avoid the crowds. The hotels were uber cheap , $80 for 3 guys and 3 dogs but there were only 2 other people in the whole hotel due to the Kung flu.
