Hunting with Amphibious this morning, took this bull at 8:45am, with one shot @ 250 yards with my Model 700 Titanium 30-06. Instant drop, 168 gr Barnes TSX handload (exit - broadside lung shot - little meat damage!).

Should be goooood eatin' :runaway:

you stand out in that green area with your cameo :p

he blended in well along the treeline where where the shot was taken. worry little about what you're wearing. worry lots about where the wind is, cover and concielment. he could have been in a pink tutu and we'd still have gutted moose today.

was a good moring, lots of moose sign, and some monster bear tracks. next one's mine ;)

Should be good eating???

Ya I am sure he will be.

What kind of tag did you draw?? Was this a wide open antlered tag? There are different kinds of antlered tags in BC correct?

...................Obviously, if the moose was at 250 yards!! They can't make you out at 50 let alone 250. Nice job Todd. Looks like you really got the bull by the horns er, i mean antlers!!:D

spot & stalk, no calling

we came around the bend in the road in view of the field and Amphib spotted the bull first, at around 350ish yards. Stalked to about 250, bull was feeding but began to trot broadside right to left, must of sensed something was wrong. He stopped to piss and I was kneeling with my shooting stix, and I held on his front shoulder 1/2 way up his body and let one go. Saw a puff of steam and his back end dropped, he flipped over backwards and gave a few kicks. Was dead by the time we walked over and poked him a few times.

168 TSX centered a rib on entrance, poked a tennis ball size hole through both lungs, and snuck out between two ribs. Very little blood shot meat, and small exit. Excellent performance
