Yeah Scott ... lots of deer here and lots of tags. I have nine tags in my family and our group of ten hunters can get 30 for our area, Buck or Doe.scott_r said:
We killed 21 deer last year and we quit because of lack of freezer space. 19 bucks fell on our two main properties with Archery, Muzzle loaders and Shotguns. We were 15 pounds short of one ton of boneless venison which is completely rediculous when you think about it.
The deer numbers here are off the chart and my home property has 600 acres adjacent to mine that we are managing for hunting. I try and keep the other landowners happy by planting food plots to keep the deer off the grain. But the bottom line is we have to keep the numbers down.... tough job, but somebody has to do it!
