Opening up the .350 Rem Mag.

Does the 458X2" (458 American) qualify for your project?
That must be one of the better short action thumpers around.

Yes, I was looking at it too. It is slightly shorter than the .450 Marlin, but it shouldn't make a difference as the max OAL would be the same - 2.8".

The rear sight looks like a XS Sights low Weaver backup ghost ring sight mounted backwards.

I have been looking at getting a medium case capacity 375 as well my goal would be 260gr Accubonds @ 2600fps - 2650fps from a 21" barrel only case design that I have found that would do what I want so far is the 300WSM or 325WSM...

375RUM on the left, center is 375X300WSM, 375 H&H on the right...

I jammed a 375 cal bullet into a 300WSM case to see what it would look like if I remember correctly case capacity was 80grs H20.

I'm pretty sure Guntech has a reamer, but after a bit of sniffing around the 450 Marlin makes a lot of sense.
From what I could find the 450 Marlin will push a 400gr Swift to 2150fps in a strong bolt rifle.

I went down this road years ago and ended up with a little 458Win with a 20 inch tube...You can always load it up if you want.
The 458Win really is a neat and very versatile round.

Be closer to 86grs or more by my scale - a fired case necked to .375. My 350WSM (pic below) sends 250s out at 2740MV from a 22" tube for my hunting loads - http://35cal.com/350wsm.html

So a 375WSM should send a 260 out at 2600+ from a 21" tube. A 375WSM should have the edge in generating MV with any given bullet weight over the 35cal.
