Operation: Brno single-shot STOCK Rescue !!

Not sure how I missed this thread over the years! I have to say, that is some amazing craftsmanship and I really dig the buttstock and the open pistol grip.

I'm not entirely sold on the forend. That's no surprise from just looking at pictures as, similar to the proof of the pudding, the proof of the forend is in the handling. Esthetically I'm not sure if I like how it sits proud of the metal. I'd probably have to spend some time with the rifle and feeling how it handles to decide if it's just me and my eye that isn't sold on it, or perhaps it really does handle that much better (which I suspect is the case) and I would be. Regardless, it is incredibly well executed and In know the pleasure that a well-built rifle brings. Looking forward to seeing it in the field!

Yes, that was by design. These are very slim, petite rifles--think toothpick. The original forend was very ling and slim with only a few mm of thickness nearest the receiver end. It actually crushed-in on me by just some modest gripping pressure. I am also "blessed" with large hands and I prefer a larger gripping surface, without finger contact on the barrel and without sweaty palm contact on the receiver.
