Operational Shooting Assoc - Practice 18 Aug 2007 Saturday

As usual, Tim and Barney ran a great show. The weather was great, the guys were great and the shooting was a blast. Only the twisted minds of Tim and Barney can dream up these matches. For an old geezer, I didn't do too bad. I even managed to beat Tim, who, in all fairness, had some issues with his hardware. Some of the M14 shooters did quite well. Proving again that it's the shooter rather than the gun that makes the difference. Anyway, if you like black/green guns and want to shoot them in some fun matches, come out next year to the OSA fun matches. The more the merrier. Thanks again guys for organizing the fun

I'm glad that you liked the 4 matches. I have to be / stay 'mum' about those 2 'memorial' matches for privacy reasons, but I do have to say that my 2 favorite matches are the :

1) Escape from Asskrakistan - snap match, 200m, unlimited ammo, unlimited mags, 5 x 5 sec exposures. Talk about super fast magazine manipulation skills...

2) Kandahar Drug Lab Raid - That had to be the funniest rundown ever from 200m to 175m... all during a 60 sec exposure, unlimited ammo, 8 magazines only for us Black/Green rifle gunners. Hey the M14's with their 2 magazines and unlimited stripper clips rocked our world, too. Then there was the 30 sec lull in the battle when the targets disappeared, lots of magazine stuffing at that time. Then they reappeared for another 30 sec. Watching TimK spray bullets all over the backstop and berms was even funnier !

Cheers,
Barney
