Opinion: Arken Scopes for PRS?

Hello,

I have an older rifle that I had a Bushnell Forge 4.5-27x50mm scope on it. I am moving to a more serious PRS build with a Tikka Super Varmint 6.5CM and a MDT chassis (I looked into the custom action/barrel route but it was getting too expensive). I am trying to decide if I should upgrade my scope. I have been looking at the Arken Optics EP-5 7-35X56 Gen 2 FFP Illuminated VPR Zero Stop MIL/VPR.

Given I am fairly new to PRS, do you guys think the Arken is a good buy ($800 right now) or should I stick to my Bushnell for now.

Appreciate the help, any other scope suggestions would be welcome, I ideally would like to stay around the 1K mark for an optic. I am willing to spend money on this build but I don't want it to get too out of hand either.

To avoid "analysis-paralysis", simply purchase the Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56mm, ideally with the new G5i reticle.

If your scope has enough elevation for your match, (what’s your max distance?) and a usable reticle for holds at 12-18x, then use that. No huge hurry to buy a new scope.
