Some of you may found I am selling my belove CZ 75B, but I am not stop here because I am looking for another CZ product. I like the Shodow but I love the traditional look of the CZ pistol, so I am looking for the 75B SA. I haven't try one before but the review has been great. Any of you guys own one can give me some insight of this gun?

Thanks in advance.

The regular 75B is single action for the most part the way we use them in Canada. We actually have to lower the hammer conciously after inserting a mag and racking the slide to convert to the DA first shot. The only way I can see it being different is if there is some difference in the trigger feel that comes with the SA only variation?

If you like the feel of the Shadow but prefer the look of the short dust cover then it's possible to remove the firing pin block parts and replace the stock hammer with the match hammer from the Shadow. From there some internal polishing and other tricks will give you a trigger that is just over 2 lbs for SA and around 6 lbs for DA. I know this is possible since that's what I have my own Shadow working at.

If you don't need the double action first shot (for example to shoot IDPA Stock Service Pistol or IPSC Production), the 75B SA is a great gun. I had one in .40 and it was very accurate and a great trigger. It is available in both 9mm and .40 I think. You could still use it in IDPA Enhanced Service Pistol (good choice in 9mm) or IPSC Standard (have to be in .40 to be Major but not the best choice as it is a bit light compared to Para's or the big CZ Tactical Sport).

For plinking, a great choice.

IPSC Production requires the first shot to be DA so a SA gun is not going to be able to play. Gun would work well in IDPA ESP. Aside from having a better trigger the gun would have not advantage over a regular 75B DA/SA gun.

To the OP, what sport do you play mostly, IPSC or IDPA or neither?

Take Care

Thanks Bob, I don't do any competition but because I have too many 9mm in my stable and therefore looking to keep just one in each cal, I do like the trigger shape and the tradition look of the 75 SA, haven't really decided go for the shodow or the SA, just want to try something different from the CZ line.

Cheers
