I think a few pics would help to give a better evaluation. Im feeling the stock has been cut down which will reduce the value but thats just my opinion. The hunters in Pennsylvania love the 16 gauge and there are more licensed hunters in PA than all of Canada combined. At least when I was guiding for a living.

The Ithaca 37 is one of my favourite shotguns, I have three, and I feel they are underpriced in the market. There was a 16 ga one in a local store for over 6 months until it finally sold, asking price was $300. The 16 is an odd duck but the perfect size in my opinion, unfortunately ammo is hard to find let alone a variety of ammo. The mod choke is nice as you see most in full choke. I would ask $400 and let him bargain me down as I see fit.

The old ones made until 1973(?) definitely worth a look. I understand newer 16s were built more recently at Kings Ferry or Sandusky, Ohio.
Too heavy was the prognosis of newest M-37 16s.

For an older one, that gauge and near perfect choke mating.
It will sell quickly I believe, to someone seeking an upland bird gun.
