Opinion on Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911G.

Just thinking about buying another IDPA gun. It's gona be .45 ACP.
Is Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911G a good choice?

Mine has been great so far.Accurate and a light trigger.I haven't had any failures that i can recall and the finish has held up very well although i have never holstered it either.

Did you changed the sights, or still use the factory ones?

I left the factory sights on.I just shoot at paper targets so good to go in my opinion.
