NAA.

Since you've asked foir opinions, I don't like the burn carving at all. The grips are well done and the burning diminishes the look tremendously. The burning looks amateurish. You would be far better served to figure out how to checker.

If you are going to do designs on the grips get them laser etched. The home made woodburning look does not cut it.

I would make contact with a company that has laser etching equipment and cut a deal.

Thanks for your opinions, i guess i'll have to wait a little longer and get some checkering tools.
Laser is also a good idea but i'd have to find someone who does that.

I'll look into the ironwood, right now i am trying to find a good supplier of burl and curly maple, walnut etc

Iv'e also tried out stippling, but i still have to work on that:

and ergonomic grips on which i also have to work on:

Try looking into reject Guitar blanks for curly maple. They usually are rejected for small flaws like knots or a Undesirable grain pattern. They are usually around $30 for a decent 15"x12" piece.

My newest creation... Desert Ironwood. This wood is really hard to work with, its very dense and solid. The wood is also naturally oily making the finishing process a little tricky too. Let me know what you guys think?

I am also in the process of making some blue maple burl ones, ill have them up soon.
