Opinion on WARTAK 9MM AMMO?

My findings in 2 boxes, a dozen maybe of undercharged or overcharged rounds. I'm guessing the powder from the low power rounds ended up in the super charged ones. lol
Okay for plinking perhaps, wouldn't use them in an expensive or my favourite gun.

Stupid question here... Should I not run Wartak 9mm through my Glock 19? Would that be an "unsupported" chamber? Sorry I'm only vaguely familiar with the term.

Good morning,

Thank you all for both the good and bad reviews. We at Sterling Cross value each and everyone of you as users of our products. With reloads we are able to control the process completely except the brass as we are unable to track how many times it has been fired and out of what. I do wish to let you know that our reloaded ammunition is NOT recommended for firearms with unsupported chambers. In fact, no reloaded ammunition should be used in these types of firearms and we have a warning on our boxes to this effect. If you ever have a problem never hesitate to contact me at nbullock@sterling-cross.com.

It is through you and the systems we have in place, that any issues are dealt with promptly and our ammunition gets better and better. We have now launched a Shotgun Shell line called Black Goose and we are hiring more and more people as more ammunition configurations come on line. By supporting the Canadian Shooting Sports and by keeping jobs at home we at Sterling Cross are striving to be the best domestically produced ammunition in Canada.

I look forward to answering any questions, concerns or even kudos about our WARTAK and Black Goose Line-ups. I will always have time for any and all of our clients as you are the important part of our business.

Cheers,
Nicole

Thank you for tuning in verywellhidden.
I am glad you are here on this thread and thank you for the heads up.
For our new shooters and myself, could you describe "unsupported chambers" in auto pistol vs revolvers which to me are the only firearms truly offering fully supported chambers
Readers will surely want to know if their Glocks are good to go or not.
Myself, I would like to know if my AR 9mm barrel be an issue.

Thank you in advance. Cheers

Here from my findings:

I've probably shot 10-12,000 commercially reloaded 9mm out of Glocks in the last 5 years.

I've not had a single issue related to "unsupported chamber." I haven't shot any Wartak, though.

Perhaps some guns like Glocks, known to be picky with some ammo, aren't performing as well.

Glocks are picky with ammo? LMFAO!!

Glocks have unsupported chambers and it is advised that one does not shoot ANY remanufactured ammunition in them.

There is SFA wrong with Glock chambers...sounds like a good way to excuse sh!tty ammo.
I can understand growing pains and early QC issues with ammunition manufacture, and if that is the case as it sounds, just own it.
There are hundreds of thousands of Glocks out there that have seen tens and hundreds of thousands of reloads each, so trying to pin it on the pistol is pretty weak.

And...

I just checked a Glock17, Sig P226 and M&P9 owner's manual, and they all actually recommand using new commercial ammo and tell not to use hand loads and commercial reloads, as a way to back their asses off from hot loads and poor quality commercial reloads

Blaming a pistol that can fire +p and +p+ ammo... Sorry, not buying the unsupported chamber "excuse"

Good morning,

There are no stupid questions JEC18159 and thank you for asking. Glocks have unsupported chambers and it is advised that one does not shoot ANY remanufactured ammunition in them. Unfortunately this is stated in your user manual and warranty. We at Sterling Cross DO load our WARTAK ammunition to SAMMI specifications and under the strictest guidelines set by SAMMI but Glock as a firearms manufacturer, has mandated that they do not support any reloaded, hand-loaded or remanufactured ammunition in their firearms.

I hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Nicole

Is the bettera cx4 storm and CZ75 supported barrels?

I don't think he is blaming the pistols....he did mention that it is very hard to track or control how many times the brass has been fired.
Perhaps they will find a way deal with that, in the mean time I think we should command them for trying to bring us something locally made at a reasonable price. :)

I may try some if I can find them in QC, but we already have Phoenix and Centaure and now X-Metal in QC that offer similar products.

I just received several thousand of 9mm and went through about 400 today in Beretta 92 and Beretta cx4 storm carbine. No issues so far. Got 1000 Xmetal 9mm coming as well, and will test that out too.

Another 100 today with no issues. 9500 to go. If I get a squib I will effing freak out and let everyone know. I don't care too much about duds, but if there is a squib that gets stuck in the barrel and the next round chambers and fires, that's very dangerous and lawsuit schit.

What I've personally fired seems "snappy" like it's loaded at top end. That's fine with me, I just don't want squibs.

That said, I've seen lots of brand new ammo form major manufacturers have issues too. Recently-Out of 3000 .223 Remington ammo, I've had half a dozen sideways primers. 3 out of 2000 Federal 45ACP have been duds.

Ironically, I've had zero problems of any kind with 5000 Chinese 7.62x39 rounds recently.

400 rounds myself. Snappy and not one issue through a line up of 9mm firearms.
Starting to think the issues were growing pains.
I'll be buying more if the remainder of this 1000 round batch runs well.
