Opinion on WARTAK 9MM AMMO?

Only had 2 squibs ever in 5,000+ rounds of mostly commercially reloaded 9mm. In the same 200 round brick of Wartak. I assumed the remaining ~1,950 rounds are also from lot 16C9100-032 and haven't touched them in months.
 
Down to the last few dozen rounds and wouldn't you know it- A squib! :)

So 10K rounds, one that didn't have powder in it. Bullet exited the case but didn't get far. Just a POP and the action didn't cycle at all. Case was still in the chamber and bullet was stuck right there in the barrel, popped out easy.

Well, this week alone I've had that squib and 3 duds with Remington 45ACP ammo, and case necks splitting on this batch of steel case Chinese surplus 7.62x39. I've used about 13 000 rounds of this surplus with no problem, this spam can is splitting cases. At least the split case necks don't impair function of the SKS rifles.
 
The most recent picture is not of an overpressure/too much powder situation. If it was the primer would be deformed as would the head stamp. That is simply a case that has been loaded too many times having case head separation.

I have never experienced any of these situations.
Identifying these incidents will be useful in the future.

If any issues do occur, post them. As I'm hoping this thread can be useful for Wartak to up their QC and keep providing us with affordable locally made ammunition.
 
Okay, it's been 2 months and all 10 000 rounds of 9mm are shot. Out of the 10 000 I had one squib (probably no powder as the bullet stuck just in front of the chamber) and 2 rounds with no primer. Both were Federal cases. Not sure about Federal 9mm brass, but I've had Federal rifle brass primer pockets loosen up pretty fast so that may or may not be a factor.

So 3 rounds out of 10 000 were poor. Not bad, considering that I've had fresh factory ammo with higher failure rate.

But, considering the other issues listed in this thread, I think it's important that Wartak really pay attention to QC.

Bottom line is that I would recommend and use this product again, although maybe not in Glocks!

In a gun with a locking action perhaps. I had the same thing happen years ago with virgin brass through a straight blowback rifle and the headstamp was fine. Besides, the quality of the pic is low enough you can't really scrutinize the headstamp.
