Opinions about dot MOA

hello,

I am looking to purchase a reflex sight for shooting out to 100 yards. mostly for fast shooting under 50 yards.

I am stuck between a 2 and 4 MOA dot. I was hoping the internet could help me decide.

4 MOA will be fine, and probably a little easier to pick up quickly. 2 MOA wouldn't be bad, though, if you found a good deal on one.

I prefer smaller dots, it is better at longer ranges than the larger dots.

Bigger on a pistol sure, but smaller on a rifle.

For CQB only a bigger dot will be picked up faster though at the cost of really obscuring your target at range

2 MOA is fine on a rifle. Bump up the brightness if you are having trouble picking up the dot, but I have never had any issues at all with a 2 MOA dot.
