Opinions: ACR VS XCR

X2 - a used 'enhanced' ACR should run around 2k - that's also what I paid for mine. Plus $550 for Dlask to de-restrict it, and it's around the price of a new XCR.

How does the Dlask barrel shoot, I've only seen a couple range reports and they weren't very detailed. I bought a used Herron barrel for mine and had a local verifier do the paperwork to declassify it. I'm still doing load development trying to find something it shoots really well. So far PMC 62gr green tips shoot about 1.5 inch at 100yds and I have a couple handloads that are doing slightly better, nothing under moa yet though.

That seems about right.

That seems about right.

I found a load the other day that put 4 into well under an inch at 100yds but the fifth blew it out to almost 2 inch. I'm going to try loading more of those up and trying again under better conditions. I was shooting off a block of wood under the forend and a rolled up jacket under the stock. Next time I'll remember my shooting rests and be more stable. I don't know if that load is sub moa or if I fluked 4 out of 5.
Next testers are going to be heavier. I still have 500 or so rounds loaded up with various bullets and powders to test. I'm hoping to find a load with cheap 55gr FMJ's and a load with a nice varmint bullet.

I have tried both, xcr was ok, not that accurate, acr was fantastic. I was shooting the centers out of clay targets at 100 yds. Based on those shooting range tryouts, acr all the way.

If you couldn't hit a clay sized target at 100 yards with an XCR it must not have been zeroed properly, because mine can easily do that.
