I have a Benelli M4 and i want to add a tac light. I was considering the Burris
Model: XT-120 Xtreme tactical Laser Flashlight
What are your opinions on what a good light would be as well as what kind and where i could get a mount for it that would go on my mag tube?
what are you using?
Thanks for the advice.

jasonn, I dont have any experience with Burris, but I am running a Fenix TK-12R5 on My Supernova with a Vltor QD offset mount, attached to the rail that came with my Nordic mag tube clamp. It is amazing to say the least. Several different output settings from 11 to 280 lumens, plus a strobe. It'll go 1.5 hours on 2 cr123's @ 280 lumens, and something like 72 hours @ 11 lumens. The Vltor mount is a great piece. It uses the same ADM MFG. clamp as the NEA cantilever mount and takes very little pressure to clamp the light very firmly, plus it locks so it wont come undone during recoil. The whole thing is quickly removed to be used as a handheld flashlight. The Fenix TK-12 body fits the mount perfectly, like they were made for each other. Anyways, the mount was $85 US from Brownells and Daves surplus and tactical (site sponsor) sells the TK-12R5 for $89 CAD, along with all the other flashlights Fenix makes. The Fenix lit up my whole backyard like the 4th of july @ 280 lumens, it is insanely bright, but can be turned right down for use as a general purpose handheld. Thats my setup.

What's your budget?

First thing I would do is get a quad rail for it from wolverine supplies made by Brugger & Thomet. Then go with a sure fire...

i was thinking about the Brugger and thomet rail but i dont know how it will look on the the full size m-4. i have seen it on the 14" and it looks pretty sweet but not sold on it. im not sure i want to "bulk" it up.

I am running the following on my m4:

Mesa Tactical Barrel Clamp
VLTOR CK Scout Mount
Fenix TK11 with some 1inch shrink wrap.

Pros:
Lightweight.
TK11 turns night into daylight with nearly 300 lumens on tap.
Rock solid mount, and you get a QD sling socket on the opposite side of the light.

Cons: Now need tools to disassemble the shotgun.

Not complaining about the weight, i just want to keep it "skinny".
Now i see it on yours it is growing on me. I like the way it feels in my hands with the original forend ,and my thumb would be where the side rail is on the B&T. I would like to see and feel one in person.

With the angular foregrip my thumb rests just underneath the rail or up where I can access my XR300.

I like the stock grip too but having the rails allows me to attach stuff :p

I also have rubber rail guards on mine so it doesn't cut my hand up on the reaction hand side (right-handed)

I got my Nordic clamp from tacticalshotgunner dot com. They dont have the pointless $100 export limit, they sent me over $300 US worth of firearms parts with no export permit
