Opinions Needed - Farm Gun for the wife

i forgot to mention that Im also left handed, The only semis I have had an issue with was the sub2k, which is a joke if there are bears in the area. A stout rimfire would be easy to shoot, provide lots of fire power, but, its still a small rimfire. If the idea is hunting, you can get most things with a rimfire, if the idea is stoping it fairly fast.... I bring a little more gun.

If you have the money, also look at the original Styer Scout rifles in 308 Win. Get a spare mag or two, and see how well it works with 150-165gr premium bullets such as Nosler Partition. It is a reasonably priced bullet with better than average terminal ballistics.

Ammunition, they are kind of pricey but you can get Nosler Partition loads for both of them. Winchester Partition Gold 250 grain in a 'hollow point' for the 44, and IIRC Federal Premiuim 170 grain round nosed Noslers for the 30-30.
One 44 option would be handloads using the 265 grain Hornday SP.

do you know were to get factory ammo 44 mag nosler partitions or you have to handload?
