I've been running a Helos 2-12 on my main hunting/general purpose rifle for almost a year now. Round count easily in the four digits shooting steel out to 600yds. Plenty of dialing during this time and it always returns to Zero. Lots of bouncing around in the truck...not an easy life.
The weight of 25ozs is much appreciated...very light for a scope in this class with the features it brings to the table.
I have done low light tests with it and it smokes Bushnell Elite 6500 and VX3i Leupolds. Five to seven minutes of extra shooting light vs my other favourite scope the Trijicon Accupoint.
Low light and clarity also tested favourably against a March scope I had in the same period.
Only gripes at this point is the Illumination as it lights the whole tree and I would much prefer just the center dot, the retaining screw for the turrets has like two threads on it and I am paranoid of losing one so I blue loctite them.
Also,at the end of the day it is a Chinesium scope and long term reliability is always a mystery... I'd be a liar if I said that fact doesn't live rent free in my head.
