Guys,

Can you post your opinions on these bulk ammo packs made by Remington in both the 9mm and 45 caliber.

They come in 1000 round and 500 round respectively.

I've shot American Eagles, Blazer, and Sellier & Bellot so far. No Remingtons.

Are the rounds in these bulk packs the same as you'd get in the standard 50-100 round boxes, or are these manufacturer's reloads?????

Has anyone purchased these before, and if so, did you come across a lot of damaged/suspect rounds or misfires?

I have an opportunity to buy the 9mm at a good price, so I'd like to know if I should buy these or stay away.

I've shot a few of the 1000 rd boxes of UMC 9mm.

Some of my guns love it and group very well with it, others don't like it at all and don't group very well with it.

All of them feed and cycle just fine with it.

Very dirty I found with the .45 and their QC isn't as good as federal. I've bought 1000 round cases of .223 from federal, Barnaul and Remington but the UMC in each case has reversed primers or completely munched cases.

This is 300 rounds of umc

I prefer s&b.

For 9mm S&B is my go to.
Price is good, after several thousand rounds reliability has been 100 percent.

Umc I found to be dirtier than s&b or federal.
Federal annoys me because the boxes are too big for 9mm.

I did two separate tests last year comparing different 9mm ammo, shooting from a NR Beretta Cx4. This was the results of measuring groups of 20 rounds at 50m (discard 2 flyer, so they're 18/20 groups), shot from a front rest and rear sand bag:

All of that to say, with ammo, you get what you pay for. I class Remington UMC as plinking ammo, reliable but not really accurate, much like Winchester White Box.
