An accurate .270 and a high BC 130 is as good as it gets for prairie deer and goats. If you're looking for a new rifle period, might as well make the next logical jump to a .30. Make it a .300 Win Mag and you'll use it for everything. Packs the punch way, way out there.
I like my .300wsm out here on the prarie, I also use a 7wby mag with 154gr bullets it works well too. A 7 stw might fit the bill for ya, with a bit of kool factor. I just picked up a 8 rem mag, little big for deer maybe, but it should work pretty good out here. Any magnum should really shoot flat enough for you if you have a range finder. .325 wsm would be a good one too, I guess it depends on how much recoil you want to deal with.

Load your 270 win with 110 TSX and it will shoot flatter and hit harder than the 25-06.
I believe the 7mm-08 to likely be the most efficient killer out there but the only thing it does better than the 270 is use less powder therefore it recoils less.
Even though the 280 Rem is my favorite all around cartridge .007" difference over your 270 Win won't gain you much.
Just as I prefer the 280 Rem over the 270 Win my choice would have to be either the 7mm WSM or 7mm Rem Mag over the 270 WSM.
The 7mm Rem Mag has been around for a long time and is a well established Cartridge. I just don't believe the 7mm WSM is going to survive. I know you reload, but you have to ask yourself the question what real advantage will I gain for the added aggravation when brass gets expensive and difficult to find.
The 7mm Rem Mag and your 270 Win share the same action length.
So for all the listed reasons, my vote will have to go the the 7mm Rem Mag.
