Opinions on Comped Glocks?

Any real advantage to paying the extra money for a compensated barrel? I am looking at a Glock 20. Is the extra concussion and noise worth the recoil reduction? Is any appreciable velocity lost? I have never even shot a comped pistol so I am a little confused.

I have a comp on my Glock 22.
Lone Wolf threaded barrel and comp.
I also changed just about every stock item.
It does shoot different.
more straight back into your hand without
much flip.
Fun in the dark.
