Hey guys, I've got a chance to buy a CZ97b off a friend. thats the one in 45ACP for those who don't know...
anyhoo, I already own a CZ85 and love the fit and finish, so I know it would be well built etc...
but I also own a 45 1911. would I be gaining anything with this gun? or just doubling up what I already have? I've held it in my hand and it fits me alright. I did notice it was QUITE a lot lighter then any other .45 I've held, not really a BAD thing. also, whats the going price on one of these? this one is in "like-new" condition.
thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Cz .45acp

I handled one recently at our local gunshop... I have big hands but I found the grip on the CZ .45 a tad big for me, though. Maybe I'm just too prejudiced with my 1911 leanings... Anyway, seems to be a very nicely made, finished and appointed pistol. Typical of the CZ line.... Like new condition you should be able to pick up that CZ for ~ $600 - $650 cash with the original box and spare magazine on a private deal.

I bought a 97B last month.

Accuracy is fantastic, however it has the typical CZ trigger (lots of creep). The gun is currently at the local gunsmiths having a trigger job done.

I will also be putting Hogue grips on it. The grips for the 75/85 series will fit if heated & stretched.

I am well pleased with the 97B, I also have 1911s & though they feel different I found it easy to adapt to the 97.:)

Thanks for the infomation guys. My buddies asking $750 for it so maby I'll try and talk him down, or pass altogether. it's nice to know that houge grips will fit it though. I sure like the ones on my 85.
