Opinions on LPVO'S

The Leupold VX-Freedom 1.5-4×20 Matte Pig-Plex is pretty nice. There's a 1.5-4x28 with some other reticles I think too. There's a 1.75-5 vortex. Lots of used Leupold VX3's around usually. It's unfortunate but it seems that Bushnell has moved away from them and Nikon is gone, so a lot of the reasonably priced options are gone. Almost everyone is moving to the 1-6 market. I would really suggest looking through them before buying.

Best value is the victoptics s6 by vector optics. German glass, a nice second focal plane reticle that keeps a consistent size. Not bulky. Generous eye releif. 1-6 power

I’m a fan of LPVO’s, and I have a 16 myself - I would steer clear of putting that type of optic on a firearm like that.
I went red dot and it remains nice and light.

Your gun, your choice though.

Highly recommend the Burris RT6 1-6x. Within your budget and to my eyes better glass quality than Primary Arms 1-6x. Light weight (relatively speaking) too.

I'm very skeptical of a 1-6 being anything but a total POS at under $200 CAD.

I think i narrowed it down to kinda what i want... its just simple reticle. but not many reviews but for the price i dont think u can beat it little more then i wanted to spend but it doesnt have those small small reticles like all the low end 1-6s have.

These are very well reputed for the price point. I've personally wanted to check one out for a while.

lvpo is the new name of what we used in europe for battue hunts ... any will work from the ar kind to the higher end. i like the bushnell ar/ak in 30mm with what some call the christmas tree reticle but very well working and a great dot system to the basic but very good vx3 leupold 1.5-5x20 with a german 4 reticle.

biggest issue i have with the vx3 is that the i found the eye box pretty small.
