Looking to upgrade to this scope (6-25). My main concern is aftermarket rings for the 35 mm tube, which is an uncommon size.
I've heard the glass quality is comparable to scopes from other manufacturers that cost much more.

Absolutely massive scope, like literally it's very large... For the price point it will get u by on smaller calibres but as far as comparing to scopes of a higher dollar value it's a great paper weight! My best advice is save the extra couple hundred and upgrade, its worth it and Ull be happier down the road!

I personally only know one guy who bought one and it failed within a couple of weeks. Of course I know another guy who has several expensive leupolds and he has had to send all them back at least 2 each that I know of.

The TRS-1 is a good scope for the $$$
For the money, the LRS-1 falls short on optical clarity.

Nice features, amd decent tracking, but I have replaced mine with a SIGHTRON now and there is a big difference in optical clarity once past 16x
The LRS1 starts to have convergent issues with straight lines at higher mag. The SIII does not.
Tracking is no contest.

Personally I want the best glass I can afford. Less eyestrain when Varminting.

Size doesn't necessarily equate quality/performance with scope tubes. Save up and get something better.

I have one.

Had it on a 338 Lapua. Sold the rifle and kept the scope. Shot it out to 1760 yards. Once you turn the magnification up past 20X it isn't the clearest.

With 140 MOA of elevation, it will get any caliber out there.

Will get you started in long range shooting. But plan to get something better down the road.

I agree 100%. I bought one to put on a 338 (twin to Max Owner's gun) and was happy at first. As stated before, the clarity and tracking are alright, but the first real issue I had with mine was the scope moving. After having a friend make me a 35mm lapping bar (because you won't find any for a similar price to a 1" or a 30mm) and spending some time lapping the problem was elevated. The second problem I had was the reticle started to change, the dots are odd shapes and some have moved, there is also a build up in the center so aiming is a bit of a problem. It appeared mine didn't like the recoil of the 338 Lapua, and I still have it and need to warranty it. Currently it is on a 223 and is much better suited there.

I upgraded to a Nightforce NXS 8-32x56mm and couldn't be happier! I recommend saving your money (as stated many have said before) and getting something better.
