opinions on remington tactical

There are more Remingtons used by the pros (police & military) than all other makes/action combined. Maybe that'll tell you something? Also, if you go to any precision competition, you'll find a large number of Remington 700 based actions/rifles. Accuracy is of course not just in the action, but also in the barrel. A good quality custom barrel is a must. Although, Remington barrels are pretty good right from the factory. Mine (Remmy 700VS) groups around 0.75MOA. Custom barrels will get you under 0.5MOA without too much trouble :sniper:

I would only be using it hunting in bush. I see it as a cheap relatively accurate bush gun that it doesnt matter if it gets beat up. It has good reveiew as being a good price alternative but I wouldnt be enetering any competitions with it. The price is amazing. I apologize for putting it on this forum.

I would like to buy a true precision rifle but would like something to just purchase. It would be just for shooting cans at 3-400 yards. I was leaning towards the tikka tactical with a nightforce scope. I have a nightforce on my sendero and it works great.
