My local shop received a few of these, how is the reliability of these? Over all fit and finish? Anyone have one that totally fell apart? Make a great bear gun while fishing.

Fit is pretty good, finish is so so. They are built very sturdy and are quite reliable.

Mine doesnt much care for cheap wallmart bulk shells but other than that they are great rugged little guns.

Bought one last week and test fired a few rounds.
Not bad at all, functioned fine.
I think I'm missing an eyebrow as well as all the hair on the back of my left hand.
Don't think I'm going to use the three inch loads again!!

Re-staked?

Yes, that pin (whatever it's called) had worked loose...

I don't think any 870 type shotty likes those Walmart Winchester value packs. The hulls occasionally get stuck in the chamber after firing and are hard to eject. This happens in my Grizzly and both of my buddies 870s.

8.5" 2 3/4 jams when I cycle it briskly

I noticed that the 8.5 jamed on me when I cycle the action with brisk strokes of the forend using 2 3/4" shells. The round hangs up on the bottom side of the chamber rim but when I pull the action bars back by using a slight motion with the forend just a little, then push the fore end forward the shell goes in. Well I guess I was just trying to get the rounds in to quick because now that I am cycling more methodically the 2 3/4 are chambering just fine. It could be that it is breaking in as well. No problem with the 3" at all and now that the 2 3/4" cycle ok if I slow my action down it is riding on mt ATV and the Jeep. It is eating all that I feed it too Eric. Jack

Actually very reliable and quite accurate for such a shorth barrel, just order another one before they ran out of them, very good value and big fun factor... JP.

i have one and stripped it down .there does not seem to be any definite chamber in the grizz barrel as it is one smooth piece. i do not know if this effects the gun but it is something i observed . the follower is the thinnest piece of plastic ever and should be replaced.badboybeeson makes up and sells replacements. overall a sturdy little gun that functions fine .
