Opinions on the High Standard

kamlooky , looks like 101 series, Those grips are not bad, the one break is too bad. I would take those off and put on a set of wood ones , If you are going to shoot it much.
those plastic ones can't be found, other than by luck at a gun show, there are lots of aftermarket choices, also check Grips4u in the stated and do super nice work, there was a nice set of aftermarket adjustable target grips in walnut at the last show, but he wanted to trade for a set of my factory ones and that would never happen.
Those series of guns are when Hi Standard really got it together.
BTW, those mags are different than the later mags, same lips as the colts and early rugers, work great, don't loss them.
Whoooooot......magic.
Thanks.

Supermatic Trophy 22?
Found one that might be of interest.
Figured owning an RPAL one should at least have a wee shewter?

Have my eye on a Browning Challenger as well.

One more better than the other for roughly the same price point?

Let's hear it.

Der ossom butt I toja a 41 smitty will shoot da dorrs offit.Da grip hangle on da chally is fukked

Now we are in trouble, the east coast talking to the west coast,, wait , I had a shot of scotch and it is crystal clear now. LOL.
I can shoot Hi S better than smith, but 41 grips don't work for me, the 2 I had where real fuzzy about ammo, real tight match chamber and had to be super clean, one was good , but had the s*** shot out of it , looked like my tractor gun.

My 3 41s 1( 50S 1) 60s 2 were a 10X regular. I had the fear of God in The big provinces competition at the 77, 78 Nationals @ the Sportsman club competitions in Kitchener from a little ole Newoundlander! lol! I was the first times I ever won anything. Anyways first time I blow my own horn for a long time. I apolojize! Today at the range, I shot the shiits I mean the literal shiits, no arms, breathing all wrong, big wind, Lousy bi-pod, oops I really can't blame the equipment I donno! My new hobby is Darts haha!

Careful, your body ages and pisses you off. Then cancer comes along and you think its over. But it's not until you let it to be! That's going in platinum on my lead/zinc urn. LOL

Good for you , I have never shot formal competation , summer time on my own range at back of the shop and wintertime, in our little gunclub.
Old days a shot a lot of 1911 45's, still do, and a lot of 38 special, wish I had never sold my s-w 52, I shot that thing as good as my Hi Standards , I loaded them so you could watch the lead sailing down range and they all fell in the same place, mind you I was 40 ysr younger.
I never shot the 41's very much, , Maybe if I had put some full target grips on them, but by that time , I was a dealer so they came and went, If the money was right, except for a couple of my good Hi Standards, which I have collected for 50yrs. I am in the city now and last few years have been shooting more and hold my own with most of the young guys .
