Hey there,

Does anyone have any thoughts and/or experience with the Sig P250? Really like the fact that you can convert to different calibers as I have a good supply of 9mm ammo for training yet like the idea of having a .45 for things that may go bump in the night.

Thoughts?

It's DAO trigger, not bad, but not great and the conversion kits are not always easy to find. It was oversold and under supplied. personally to me it is to "Glockish". I would take the Sig 2022 over the 250, although if someone gave me a 250 I would be happy.

It was a good idea but poor support from Sig has probably dealt it a mortal blow. I shot one in the States and I thought it was ok. The trigger pull is long but very smooth. Unfortunately Sig released the pistol and then could not supply all the extras that they promised. Additional frames were hard to come by and the promised compact version took forever to come out. The only major LE contract I have heard about were the Air Marshall's and I hear that they are not too happy with them.
Sig probably should have stayed with the 2022 etc. which generally gets good reviews. For some reason they decided not to support that platform or bring in models like the compact version which is availiable in Europe.

Sig Sauer Germany has taken the gun and worked on the trigger pull. The German P250's (not sure if they are available in North America yet) have spectacular trigger pulls. About half the weight and very, very smooth. They would get good reviews from even a seasoned PPC shooter. I sort of liked the P250, but with the German triggers I loved it and would buy one for sure.

The P250 is a good idea. but You need to use too different frames if you are using the 45 cal to 9mm. i would like to have the p226 in 9mm and convert to 22lr.

Long but silky smooth trigger pull, best traditional DAO trigger I've tried. Accurate too. Fit my medium to large hands nicely and recoil was very manageable in .40S&W. If you don't have much trigger time on a Glock or 1911, the trigger pull is very nice. IF you are used to the short reset of the Glock or 1911, you will not like this pistol.

Mikjk,

If you like the trigger on the P250 now, just wait until you try the one on the new German guns (if they ever make it over here).
It's 10 times better than the North American P250's.
