Opinions on the vz58 bipod

i think i watched a vid online of someone shooting with one and it fell off....thats probably not good.

must NOT have been installed properly the vz58 bipod 'clips" on look at your bayo lug there is a small cutout on the bottom the bipod clips into that makeing removal im possible unless its folded in the right direction to retract the little bipod pin I have shot hundreds of rounds with mine and never had a single problem

Very sturdy unit and well worth it for the price and function at the rifle range. My only complaint is that is does not lock positively when folded under barrel allowing it to "swing" and bounce a few degrees. I had the restricted version and it looked nifty with bipod mounted. I saw pictures of the 858 with bipod and it looked a little funny to me.

But the rifle is gone, and so is the bipod.;)

I've never been able to get my bipod to fit on ... the locking mechanism is so tight I can't force it on. Not that I would expect enormous accuracy gains from a bipod attached near the end of the barrel.

M'eh. I got one in the Max pack from Marstar and I think I put it on once, the first day, as I was unpacking everything... I think its in one of my "Gun Junk" boxes somewhere. I only got the max pack for the mags and folding stock. I wouldn't have paid any more money to get the bipod specifically.
