I've been looking for a semi-auto .22 plinker and ran across the 290 tube feed. This one has a carved wood stock and a gold trigger. It is 80-90% condition and I assume is the deluxe model. It cycles relatively smoothly.
My issue is that I can't find very much info on this rifle. All I've found searching the forums is one guy complaining that the barrel has a tendency of coming loose from the receiver and another fellow mentioning FTFs due to a light main spring. Some have also remarked about failures to feed and a horrid trigger. Are these rifles really that bad?
Thanks for any and all input
