Agreed, 12g is such a do it all. Ammo is cheap for the most part as well, most shot that is lol.

No matter traditional or pistol gripped stock, your hand won't be near enough to the safety to bump it. It's on the receiver, not the stock.
Definitely grab the Opsole adapter and run 1¾" shells.
What's the stock on your Mossberg?
