Opinions please on the SVT-40

What nobody mentioned the SVT40 is about 4' long? If something breaks parts are a b!tch to find. A Norinco M14 is less difficult to get fixed, but your average smalltown gunsmith won't be much help. Your friend might be better off with a Remington gas auto.
