Hey guys,

Just waiting approval for my PAL. RCMP is currently processing the application...Been about a month and a week now...Pretty excited. I've decided to choose a Benelli Supernova for my first gun...But need help/advice/opinion on which of the two.

Option 1)
12G Benelli Supernova from Cabelas
599.99
'28inch barrel/several chokes to choose from

Option 2)
12G Benelli Supernova Tactical from Cabelas
799.99
14' barrel and seems to be 1 choke with a "blued barrel"

Most people will ask..."What purpose is the gun going to be used for?"

Here are my reasons:
-disc shooting/clay shooting
-hunting turkey/small game
-general shooting-fun

The tactical looks pretty neat/compact especially with collpasible stock...but seems to be limited in choke options...I just don't know which to choose...Any opinions or advice would greatly be appreciated since im a newb.

Thanks Guys

When I bought my 28" SuperNova, they showed me a neat version with a 24" Barrel w/ removable chokes and the "tactical" pistol grip, non-adjustable stock. If you were looking for something that you could actually hunt with, but still had a tactical look, this might be the perfect balance.

If you're gonna shoot trap with it, the longer the barrel the better. Most trap guns have 30 - 32" barrels. Get the Nova with 28" Barrels and multiple chokes. Then your options are open for different hunting applications.

Thanks for opinions...ill stick with the 28' barrel and see about the other grip!

Online store ive been looking at is cabelas.

Don't clay shooting and hunting fall under "general shooting". If you're going to be shooting trap I would definitely go with the longer barrel, as for hunting again the longer barrel will give you better kill-zones in your patterns as well as a better swing on passing birds. Don't get me wrong, you could do anything you wanted with the tactical or the hunting mode. As cool as that tactical might look the hunting model sounds more practical for what you're doing! Btw, welcome to the Benelli family! I have an M2 field and MAN IS IT SWEET.

X2

Plus you can always buy shorter barrels for those special occasions.
