Opinions please

Guess I should just have said " hey I'm going to buy a savage axis in 30-06 what do you think?" And would get more of a response. I joined this forum in hopes that I could get a wealth of information on some questions I have guess I was wrong. Only thread I have gotten any response from is the newbie intro. Kinda sad

I'm sorry you feel that way, and a belated welcome to our fine Forum.
Perhaps a lack of response might indicate that there are very few out there.
I don't have a Kimber but I do have a 280 AI and I can tell you that it seriously chases the heck out of my 7mm Rem. Mag. and is a fine cartridge for a reloader.
Getting back to the Kimber I have heard very little negative about that particular model on other forums, I do know that it is beyond my affordability price-wise and if its the model with the muzzle brake I would not touch it as I can't stand muzzle brakes on hunting rifles.
Please bear in mind that those are only my opinions and not those of others..

Awww, yeah!, now you've got my attention!. the Savage Axis is the BEST rifle in the WORLD and the 30-06 works great from field mice to elephant. run down to CT and buy 10 of em for the price of the Kimber.........

.....Maybe, just maybe, not many guys here have a Kimber Mountain Ascent in 280AI. Or the ones that do, have been busy for the past 24hrs.

But welcome to CGN nonetheless :)

Near the top right of this forum page there is a search function, "search forum".
Click on this, type in "Ascent" and it'll leave you with lots of reading material.

Or click on this:

If that's too broad, you can go into the main search function and select a search with "Ascent" in the title, it'll be more specific.

Or click here:

In other words, there's lots of info on this forum about this rifle.

Ardent also did a great review here:

Strange.....folks in Cochrane always seemed so nice. However when I lived in Kirkland Lake, most of them were using Lee Enfields. :)

Patience Grasshopper. 05:09 is the middle of the night for most here. Crack of dawn and/or quitting time for others.
If you're not reloading now, you will be. Along with the rifle being pricey, the brass and loaded ammo(apparently available from No$ler) will be too. Highly likely that it'll be special order stuff too. Grouse River in Kelowna, B.C. wants $89.99 per 20 for loaded No$ler ammo.
