i am considering buying a fullfield 2 4.5-14x42 with the bdc reticle for my 300 wby. from what i've seen on the net, they seem to be a good quality scope for the price, and the lifetime warranty is a bonus, but before i order one, i would like to hear from a few people who have firsthand experience (good or bad) thanks

I bought one of those this winter. I have not mounted it on my rifle yet but I found it to be good quality for the price, very powerful and very clear. It comes with directions on how to use the bdc reticle and little charts for many calibres that you can stick on the scope to assist you. I researched it on the net before I bought it and I could not find one negative review. As soon as it dries up a little more its going on my Remington model 700 BDL in .223 rem.

I've got a couple of the older fixed power Fullfield models and think that they're nice scopes. I've had both since the early 80s and I've never had any issues with Burris scopes.

I have a bunch of Burris glass. They will honour their warranty but you're shipping south. I don't like the fullfield II but only becuase I like Butler creek pop-ups on my scopes

I have a 3-9x40 Burris Fullfield II. That is probably a lower end scope that the one you are looking at. It was made in the Phillipines. I think its a good scope. Bright and clear, holding zero, decent looking finish. I like the ballistic reticle feature. I'd buy one again. I'd mention that on mine, the ocular rotates with power changes, so that rules out flip up caps. Also, I'm using mine on a Norinco M14 so there isn't much recoil to speak of. Double check the eye relief figures to make sure its what you want on the 300 Weatherby. I have a Leupold on my 300WM bolt action rifle, and I chose that scope because I believe it has good eye relief and is extremely rugged. Not that the Burris isn't rugged, but Leupold has such a good reputation IMO.

I have a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x 40mm as well. It's a decent scope. Good bright, clear optics. I like the ballistic plex as well. Well made, a good scope that's for sure. Although the prices have been creeping up since I bought mine.

I have the 3x9X40 Full field with Ballistic Plex. I love it. The Ballistic plex even comes with little charts to figure out holdover for different rounds and different bullet weights. Great toy. Highly recommend the BP reticle. Buy one.
