Opinions Wanted on Utrasonic Cleaners

I run my brass in a USC with boiling hot water, a teaspoon of lemishine and 3 or 4 drops of dawn dish detergent, the primer pockets and insides of the cases are spotless, takes 2 full cycles of 840 seconds but the brass is just as clean as it was new.

Depending on the hardness of your water, you may end up needing more detergent to keep from ending up with uniformly gray/black brass. There should be some soap suds in the tumbler barrel when you open it after tumbling.

I have a Thumler tumbler model B for sale, I find with lemishine and 2 tblsp of sunlight dish soap it cleans the pockets really well.
My Dad has the tumbler up in Azilda, pm me if you're interested.

Gents I built my tumbler out of an old treadmill assy and I use a 3L cylindrical coleman thermos to tumble the brass. I use lemishine, dawn, hot water, and I usually do 250 9mm with 50-60 308 in the same batch. I do not use SS pins, I use the brass to bounce off of each other and it works excellent. Clean primer pockets and shiny brass.

Ultrasonics just dont do it for me, unless you are cleaning gun parts to get off layers of carbon.

Thanks for all the input but I think I'm going with a ultrasonic cleaner 3 to 6 liter with min 100w heater and 2 transducers 60 to 70 watts each at 40 to 42 hz and drain spout ,have found a few on amazon and kijiji and ebay now to decide which one

thks again Little
