I have owned this rifle for almost 15 years and am looking into an upgrade to a stainless/synthetic package. It is a Parker-Hale in 7mm Rem Mag. It shoots great. Has some minor cosmetic damage. Looking at info on just the rifle as I know the value of the scope.

My guess is in the $500 range but I may be out to lunch.

Thanks to all who reply

Mike

A Parker Hale 1200C (C is for clip, should be mag), worth atleast $500. Parker Hale rifles are very well made, barrels are top notch. With the scope add a bit more. Btw, the stock is called a beavertail.

Parker-Hale's are good working class rifles, but they don't sell for much.

I've purchased two (.270 and .308) in the last three years, in good - very good condition, that came ready to hunt (inexpensive 3-9x40 scopes and slings included) and I paid right around $350 each for them.

It says Canadian Industries Limited on the barrel. Even though Parker Hale made them both, I wouldn't count on a CIL to sell for quite as much as a PH in the same condition, but it might. If I wanted yours (I don't want a 7mm Magnum) I'd pay anything between as little as I could get away with and as much as I could afford, CIL or PH. $500 is plausible, though there is no telling how long you will have to wait. A new rifle with a plastic stock might be had for a bit less, so it depends on when someone decides they want an old classic that much.
