Oppinions on hunting boots

Ive got Rockies and so far so good. I fell through some ice last year while coyote hunting and everything got wet minus my feet so Im happy with em. I have heard a few of guys complain about them but again they fairly cheap boots to buy.

Danner Canadians for the majority of my hunting and when really cold pull out Schnee pack boots. Both I am very pleased with.
I also had a pair of Irish Setter Big Gam Trackers, couldn't complain as they lasted me 4 years of hard use in fall and winter before being tossed. Never a weep or leak in that time either, unlike the Rocky's I replaced them with

!I have used brownings and Danners,but I now use Meindls exclusively.My Canadas are over 10 years old but are still totally waterproof and in very good shape.They are also the most comfortable boot that I have tried requiring virtually no break in.I like them so much that I bought two more pairs of Meindl boots,one lighter construction and one with 800gr of insulation for colder weather.Meindls are available from Russells,but I bought mine from Cabelas.
Seems to me that Meindl's are at the top of the heap in quality boots at around $350.00. I have 2 friends that work for fish and widlife here in Alberta and they get Danners issued to them. When it comes to the semi annual sheep hunt out come the Meindl's. Their rugged reliability is 2nd to none.
I bought a super comfortable pair of Rocky Lynx last year and they leaked the first time I wore them in tall wet grass, so back they went, and I ended up getting a pair from Marks Work warehouse that fit great and were reasonably priced at $150.00. FS

I use Scarpa mountaneering boots. My current pair are about 6 yrs old and still holding up. Expensive though.
I've got feet like a duck as well and all the Danner/Rocky boots just don't fit, extremely narrow.
I've heard Red Wing boots are good but no dealers up here and mail ordering boots could get costly with all the shipping back and forth.
Moose hunting I usually wear hip waders all day long in the boat.
Buy a size bigger and extra woolies.

Not even close to the top of the heap. As far as "good" moutaineering boots go, Meindels are bottom to mid range.
And yes, I have owned three pairs of them...
I've got Browning ankle boots and Rocky 8" boots.
I really like the Rocky's.
That said, I noticed Crappy Tire (that's right, Crappy friggin' Tire!!) has La Crosse boots on sale. Not that price should be a determining factor.
I have no personal experience with La Crosse, but they sure are light and look well made (was lookin' at them yesterday).
