Opti-lock rings for a Tikka .338?

I just purchased a Tikka T3 .338 and it came with Optilock rings which fit right onto the dovetail. They only have one screw to secure the scope and one that tightens up on the dovetail.
Anyone have experience with these rings in a magnum caliber? Just wondering if these are good rings or should I be going to a better set?

They must be an old style Optilock or a different make. Mine has a plastic sleeve that surrounds the scope and two screws on both sides of the ring.

Those rings are made by Tikka, and usually were only supplied with rifles sold in the US. Maybe Beretta has changed this practice.

They're not really "Optilock" rings, which incorporate the same plastic bearing design as Burris Signatures use.

Optilock rings, while reported to be very secure and strong, also are a tad pricey.

I personally like the idea of "ring mounts" such as these, and there is in fact an Optilock ring mount set up that similarly does away with a separate base...but just try to find a source in N. America! And expect to pay at least $150 plus!

For all the Tikkas being sold, (and CZs, etc. with integral rails) you'd think Burris would get off their butts and add ring mount set ups like this to their Signature line.

I use Optilock rings on my Tikka T3 Lite in .270 WSM. Solid mount for my Nikon Monarch scope. Both scope and rings handle the recoil without problem.

These rings described and shown are indeed only supplied with guns sold in the USA so if your gun came with them it was not distributed by Stoeger Canada, The Optilok rings sold in Canada are significantly more money and a lot stronger (they are two part,,,rings and bases). Phil.
