Optic for 180-C

Hello all. So I have a 180-C on order and am wondering what kind or type of scope to put on it? Was thinking of a red dot of some kind. But would like it to have alittle range with it. Do not know if there are red dots out there that you can turn on or off or add magnification too when you want it. Or is there a better sight out there for that kind of roll?

Depends on what you want to do with it. You can put triplers on to magnify red dots, but they aren't usually cheap, or particularly light. My main competition carbine has sported an EoTech 512 and G33 tripler. That combo will cost about $1k, so you can get a good scope for that.

Again, depends on what you want: the RDS don't have an eyebox, so if you can see it, you can hit it. Makes for a lot of flexibility.

That said, a magnified optic is superior at 200+, and better variables can be used like RDS at 1x power.
 
Treat it no different than any AR15 when it comes to optics.

I'd suggest a LPVO if you're thinking a red dot AND wanting to shoot some distance. 1-4x is a happy medium and can be found inexpensively.
