S&B ShortDot and LaRue SPR QR mount: I've mounted them on 2 different guns and I have the scope elevation all the way up and windage all the way to the left and I'm still low and to the right slightly. Is it a bad mount? scope? am I just doing something wrong? the sad part is I also have a Leupold in an HK QR mount on a Model 770 and it's exactly the same thing. I'm so frustrated. I'm hoping someone that has more Optic experience than I can help. (disclaimer it's all bought from the EE but in really good shape)

Thanks in advance for your Help.

I'm no expert but something doesn't seem right - why don't you start over.

-Remove the scope and adjust to optical center (verify by counting the MOA clicks, divide by 2 and move the turrets to that position);
-Remove the mounts and inspect for any imperfections, including burrs. Also ensure your base(s) is installed correctly and tight;
-Remount scope and bore sight at 50 yards. Remember that when adjusting the reticle while looking through the bore, to get the crosshairs to the POA left is right and up is down.

Other than that, I can't see why you would have this issue - when you adjust your crosshairs to the 50 yd fixed point, you should physically be able to see the reticle move each click.

..plus if the ring is mounted close to the turrets it could interfere with their adjustability, especially if there's scope tube crush due to over torqueing the mount screws. Failing alignment issues with the screw holes on the receiver (unlikely) you should be good to go...
