Tap out the trigger group pins and replace them with the screws included....
5 minute job

That Leupold mount looks like it attaches the same way that the B-Square mount does, by replacing the two pins in the receiver with the longer ones that secure the mount. When I had a B-Square on my 870, I found significant changes in point of impact each time that I removed and replaced the barrel. I'm talking about several inches of group movement at 100 yards. It was a concern with the high-tech sabot slug loads that I was using in my rifled barrel, but probably not so big a deal with regular slugs or buckshot.

I went to a cantilever-type mount on the barrel, and the problem went away.

Little tip.

If you twist the barrel left or right just prior to snugging down the mag cap/extension everytime, there won't be that problem.

Coltfan that 12.5'' barrel looks awsome... but WHY did you add that +1 mag tube ? It looks strange.

It was in my spare parts drawer from when I had a longer barrel on the firearm.

I just put it on to try it out..only takes 30 seconds to remove and install the original cap..

Actually it is not on the gun now and for sale on a different website.

Side-Saddle

In that case, you can always rely on a Weaver drill&tap railmount on the receiver and use the standard Holosight XLP.
Another plus of the separate mount is that you can slap on any optical sight, short scope, Aimpoint Red-Dot or reflex sight. You can even get rail-mounted auxiliary ghost sights.:)

You are correct, sir!!! Thanks. That is just the kind of helpful info that I got onto this forum for. I can't believe it was that simple.

Plus, now that I can take down the 870 (this is the first time it's been apart in about three years) there's room for another gun in the safe!:dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:
