Optic recommendations for a BCL with a 6.5 creedmoor barrel

I recently put a 20" 6.5 cm barrel on my bcd 102. I was running a Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10 with a BDC for 308 round. Wondering if I should invest in the custom turrets for that scope or buy a new one. Anyone have any recommendations for a good 6.5 cm scope? probably max I would go is x16. not looking to spend $2k on a scope.
its for hunting and not really target shooting...probably max engagement range of 400m, and plinking at the range...so I'd say most shooting will be 100m-300m.
 
I have a Bushnell Elite Tactical LRTSi 3-12x44 on my 6.5 Stag (and on a couple other rifles as well). They can be found for a good deal and have good glass, nice turrets, track awesome, great reticle. I've used mine out to 940 yards with success.
 
I think Bushnell is still 30% off right now. Maybe not a bad idea. There is no really bad glass out there anymore.

A VX-5HD 3-15x44 would be great. I have a couple and they are awesome. One is on my a Stag 10.

I wish Leupold would make something in the Mk5 lineup in a 2.5-12ish range sub 20oz. The VX-5HD is nice but I don't like any of the reticles or that it's MOA. The Mk5 3.6-18 is really nice and only 6oz heavier and would be an awesome scope on a 6.5 Stag but I think a slightly lower mag/lighter scope would be real nice for a precision .223 gas gun.
