Optic sight on a Glock 17?

I would like to try a optic reflex type sight on my Glock 17. Will the Burris Fast Fire take the abuse? Any suggestions?
Old eyes need help. I installed a Browning on my S&W 686 and really like it. I don't think the Browning reflex is recommended for a slide pistol.

in a recent one of the Calibre magazines they did a review of the Glock 34 MOS and the sight they used was from Shield. it's an inexpensive RDS as just over $300, so something you might want to try.
